| ELEE Bookout has worked in clay as a professional potter since the early 1950's. Her "canvas" is "a three-dimensional piece of porcelain spinning in space and time." ELEE holds a BA in Art Education from the University of Maryland and an MFA in Ceramics from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan. Her exhibition experience includes the Smithsonian International, the Chicago Art Institute, the Detroit Museum, the Garrett County Arts Council Gallery in Oakland, and many galleries in the Washington, DC, area. Her career as an artist and teacher has involved work at the University of Maryland, Prince George's County Board of Education, Corcoran Gallery of Art, and the Torpedo Factory. | Noted for his large, highly detailed, grand-view geographic oil landscapes, James C. Groves is a contemporary practitioner of the "Grand Landscape," a manner of painting practiced by such 19th century American artists as Frederic Church, Albert Bierstadt, and Thomas Moran. Groves paints almost daily, grinding his own unique oil paints just before use. In addition, he has created limited edition offset lithographs since 1987.
